Nature Art Michigan
Many people, both serious nature lovers and normal citizens has described an almost spiritual awareness when engulfing themselves in the environment of nature. The same experience has been expressed when viewing art; which is a representative snapshot of a slice of nature in a moment in time. However, this brief moment can re-capture all the emotions and ambience of the event from the eye of the artist to the canvas. These Wood Ducks were captures in flight at a very low shutter speed of 100. Several frames were totally useless however, one frame was pristine in image quality. View more here…Nature Art Michigan

Wetland Photography — Black Crowned Night Heron
Black Crowned Night Heron
Print Title: I Can Make It!
About This Print
Black Crowned Night Heron Photo — I Can Make It!
In my many solitary morning excursions into the hidden forest of Jimme’, I would carefully select a place to hide then settle into a motionless posture that I might remain in for extended periods of time. On this particular occasion, I choose to sit on the ground nestled tight against a thick row of tall cattails. Off in the distance, I noticed a very active young Black Crowned Night Heron juvenile jumping from branch to branch having so much fun exploring the wetland habitat. It looked like the bird was slowly making its way toward my direction. Closer it came, jump by jump, branch by branch, closer… closer… until finally, the bird was getting pretty near where I had been hiding for at least a couple hours now.
The place I had chose to sit was on a slope, my body weight was causing me to slide slowly downward toward a pool of water covered in green milkweed. “Be still!”, I told myself. I could not move a muscle and risk the opportunity of revealing my presence at this point… continued

Off in the Distance – Bevy of White-tailed Deer
Off in the distance–a group of deer, on the northern passage of Jimme’, hidden deep within Kensington forest, I heard a soft rumbling noise. I was standing behind the trunk of an old dead cottonwood tree. My attention was regularly focused in that direction because it is common for animals of all kind to enter in and leave this section of protected wetland. Animals follow the terrain even if it means walking in water, birds follow the terrain even when floating on the water’s surface or flying overhead.
As I patiently remained hidden behind the tree, the noisy splashing got louder and closer. Suddenly, a small bevy of white tailed deer came rumbling along the trail right down the center of the narrow, shallow entry-way giving the appearance they were running on water.
The herd of white-tailed deer resembled an excited family on an exploratory road trip. The larger matriarch was in the rear looking like a drill sergeant barking commands to the troop of does & fawns. The tightly formed troop of deer looked like they enjoyed following the commands of their group matriarch. I remained motionless as the small bevy of white-tailed deer thundered passed my concealed location never knowing they were being observed.

1000 Shades of Autumn
assed1000 Shades of Autumn
1000 Shades of 1ooo Colors
1000 Shades of Autumn – Trees the stretch upward to the sky, in the northern regions, in the hidden forest of Jimme’, they sit atop a high hill, marking the forest outlying northern parameter. It is a long range of trees that have held strong their covenant with their creator. These trees, have not replaced their sustenance with man for God; they have no mediator—as man has allowed other men to become the mediator between them and God. These set of renowned trees burst into brilliance at the arrival of the fall season. Their vividness is a testament to their satisfaction with “The One” also known—amongst the prophetic travelers who wander through this magical land of Jimme’ —as… “The DayStar.”
Michigan’s fall season will go Boom with “many trees in many shades of color.” Colors of Heartfelt Summer Orange, Cora Bells Orange, Bright Burnt Orange; Orange leaves in every complexion, orange leaves in every iridescence.
Welcome to the colors of fall. The many shades of leaf colors upon millions of trunks of trees, will gently sway and catch you attention with the slightest summer breeze; dark flavors of bronze, or variegated shades of yellows, multiple color tones of tangerine-gold.
From August through September, you can view many shades of fall among the huge spectacle of the Trees of Autumn Fall Colors in Michigan.
The giant tall trees called “the green wall” of flaming leaves of Jimme’, ever burning; but, are not consumed. The height and breadth of their magnificent beauty, hold captive the mind. Columns if color, each leaf of brilliance represent a member of FirstSons the Undeceived. Those are they who have not fallen by deceit, who have not chosen “lack of knowledge” as their daily bread. They are those who have p through fire and are hardened to stand against all that have stood in their way.

The Green Goblin of the Wetland
Early one cool summer morning in a Michigan Wetland, in the hidden forest of Jimme’, There sat an olive green, greenish, yellow yellowish, loud, billowing, king of the wetland sitting in the midst of milkweed, giant lily pads, moss-covered tree branches; in the forefront of edge of the wetland’s edge. It took me over an hour to slowly sneak up on the Bullfrog so that it would not jump into hiding. After sliding down a large fallen tree stump, I looked out and spotted the Bullfrog at approximately 20-30 feet distance. Unaware of my presence, the Bullfrog started it’s booming, resounding mating call. The side of its head and lower chin swelled filling with air and in the next second, it exhaled, echoing a boisterous trademark sound.

The Flying Insect Flycatcher
Late one humid summer afternoon in a Michigan Wetland, in the hidden forest of Jimme’, I saw small olive green-ish, yellowish bird land on a dead, moss covered tree branch; under the canopy of a willow tree. I slowly raised my camera and snapped a photo. I was approximately 20 feet distance and to my amazement, the FlyCatcher paused and looked directly at me. It had lived up to its legendary name “catching insects”, holding a green and yellow grasshopper in its beak; which also gave the Flycatcher a typical portrait pose for this shot.
